Neil Schiller - Liverpool indie writer with plenty of interesting observations and comment about the process and the reality of writing and publishing. The standard of Neil's short story collection 'Oblivious' is excellent. I urge anyone interested in a dark, imaginitive twist to very well written fiction to check Neil out at: http://neilschiller.wordpress.com/
Laura Maylene Walter, writer - Laura not only writes excellent fiction, her site gives impressive insight into the process of writing and what it does to the mind. www.lauramaylenewalter.com
Andrew Oberg - Author of 'Randolph's One Bedroom' and the main man behind Drugstore Books: http://drugstorebooks.com/
Matt Hadder - No link as such, as I have contacted Matt and he is in the contemplation stage of a new website. Matt is the author of the brilliant'Seeing Crows' which reminded me of Willy Vlautin's 'Motel Life' in feel but is definitely Matt's own voice and style. It is one of the most enjoyable reads I have had for some time. I am going to be getting hold of Matt's second novel 'Twitch of The Death Camp' very shortly. It is part slasher part road trip, apparently. great voice, extremely engaging style and a top man to boot. Check Matt out on his author profile on the U.S. Amazon site.
Lee Goldberg - Fans of the TV series Monk featuring the neurotic detective, may not realise that Lee writes for Monk and is responsible for the extremely funny novels that accompany the series. He has also written the Jury series books and several excellent stand-alone novels such as 'The Walk' and 'The Man With The Iron On Badge.' www.leegoldberg.com

Sam Lipsyte - One of the funniest, most astute and often surreal writers I have ever enjoyed. Author of 'The Subject Steve,' 'The Ask' and 'Homeland.' - www.us.macmillan.com/author/samlipsyte
Carl Hiaasen, writer - a legend with anyone who has read him and an impossible name to spell from a standing start (it plays tricks with your eyes) - Carl weaves murder, intrigue, hilarity and just plain weird events into his South Florida based fiction. www.carlhiaasen.com a few years ago, I spent a couple of weeks in Miami, travelling alone. Within AN HOUR of arriving, I had been invited to a party, offered cocaine and been propositioned by a 'lady of the night.' Carl Hiaasen knows the seedy side of Florida like no-one else writing.

Christopher Brookmyre - Scottish author who specialises in brilliant titles ('Quite Ugly One Morning,''A Tale Etched In Blood & Hard Black Pencil' etc) and investigative journalist Jack Parlabane. www.brookmyre.co.uk
Willy Vlautin - When he is not fronting the band Richmond Fontaine, Willy is writing insightful, funny and touching fiction along the lines of 'Motel Life.' www.willyvlautin.com
Tim Bryant - Tim's debut novel 'Dutch Curridge' (not a spelling mistake) is excellent. It is the first book involving Alvis 'Dutch' Curridge and is endorsed by Joe R. Lansdale, as such, it needs no further nonsense from me. The second in the series is due this year. Check Tim out at www.bytimbryant.weebly.com
J.A. Konrath - If you have been paying attention, you will know by now that I love extremely violent but also very funny fiction. J.A. Konrath's Jacqueline 'Jack' Daniels novels fit the bill. Insomniac forty something detective with the usual assortment of sidekicks and character flaws but better done than the vast majority. For writers and anyone intersted in writing, Joe's website is a fantastic resource.www.jakonrath.com
Christopher Moore - Another Chris that experiments with brilliantly imaginitive titles; Practical Demonkeeping, Island of the Sequined Love Nun etc. Very funny comic horror/thriller material.
